The Bradford family’s have a long standing close connection to Shropshire and Staffordshire, with a family history that dates back over 900 years. In 1981, upon the death of his father, Richard, The 7th Earl of Bradford set up the trust with the aim of supporting local initiatives in Shropshire and Staffordshire.
Recent donations have been made to the Institute of Orthopaedics at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, and to the Weston-under-Lizard church roof fund. Over the years the trust has partnered with several charities and local initiatives to help them achieve their goals and help their communities:
Shropshire Historic Churches Trust / Severn Hospice / Midland Air Ambulance / The Walled Garden Project / Newport Cottage Care Centre
The Trust also supports people who have been employed on the family estate and their dependants who are in financial need. If you would like to find out how you can apply, please contact enquiries@bradford-estates.co.
