The Bradford family’s have a long standing close connection to Shropshire and Staffordshire, with a family history that dates back over 900 years. In 1981, upon the death of his father, Richard, The 7th Earl of Bradford set up the trust with the aim of supporting local initiatives in Shropshire and Staffordshire.
Giving back to our community is something we care deeply about. Over the years, we have been proud to support a variety of local schools and charities, helping to provide resources that make a meaningful difference. Our contributions have included funding for books and play equipment in local schools, new chairs for Blymhill and Weston Village Hall and support for vital organisations such as Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Newport Cottage Care and Compton Hospice. Through these contributions, we aim to strengthen our local community today, while also investing in opportunities and support that will benefit future generations.
The Trust also supports people who have been employed on the family estate and their dependants who are in financial need. If you would like to find out how you can apply, please contact enquiries@bradford-estates.co.
