AS PROUD CUSTODIANS OF AN AREA OF SUCH RICH HISTORY AND GREAT NATURAL BEAUTY, WE NURTURE TODAY'S PLANTING AS THE WOODLAND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS TO ENJOY.

To ensure the health of our forests, we look after our woods through techniques that promote landscape, diversity and growth. By selectively thinning our woods, we provide the best specimens with the light they need to develop. We avoid monoculture, and take pride that our woods are made up of all shapes, sizes and species.
Our woodlands cover an area of 500 hectares (1,235 acres) in the rolling countryside of Shropshire and Staffordshire. Our commitment to looking after our forests spans our history in the area, including the design of the pleasure gardens at Weston Park, lime lined avenues and lakeside planting. Our principles are the same today, to provide our community with healthy, diverse woodlands.
We continuously maintain pest management, invasive species control and strimming where necessary to ensure young trees are protected as they grow. And, for trees lost to adverse weather, we regularly clear, stack and grade windblown timber to the forest recover and grow.

Our management of the woodlands provide them with the perfect conditions to grow healthily, serving as an important carbon store.
