Established in 1987, the charity was set up to support local causes operating within the Parish of St Mary & Margaret, Castle Bromwich.
To help set up the trust, the Bradford family sold the remaining land in their ownership, raising vital funds for its endowment. In recent years the charity has partnered with St Mary & Margaret Church and the Castle Bromwich Hall Garden Trust.
