Where is the Bradford Walk?
Set amidst the timeless landscape of Bradford Estates, on the border of Shropshire and Staffordshire, this picturesque route links historic public footpaths connecting the charming villages of Weston-under-Lizard and Tong, and the historic Boscobel House.

Where is the starting point located?
There is no designated starting point for the walk. Visitors are encouraged to use the maps provided to explore the route at their own leisure, discovering the landscape as it has been enjoyed for generations.

Is there parking available?
There is currently no official parking for the walk. Visitors are kindly asked to make use of existing public parking spaces in the surrounding area when exploring the route.

Is there a charge to walk?
Bradford Estates has created the route to be accessible and welcoming to all visitors, and it is therefore free to enjoy.

What are the opening times?
The route does not have set opening hours, allowing visitors to explore the woodland and countryside at their leisure. Visitors will get the most out of the walk and best enjoy the beautiful landscape features during daylight hours.

Are the walks open to everyone?
The walk is open to the public as permissive access for walkers. Please note that the terrain is natural and uneven in places.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs on leads are welcome to join the walk, allowing visitors to enjoy the routes with their four-legged companions. Due to surrounding private farmland, sheep grazing and wildlife, it is the owner’s responsibility to ensure dogs are kept on leads.

How long are the walks?
The full trail covers 11.8 km, typically taking 3 to 3½ hours to complete. A shorter route of 2.1 km is also available, taking approximately 25 to 45 minutes.

Are there maps or guides available?
Yes, a downloadable map of the routes are available on the Bradford Estates website here. Printed guides or leaflets are not currently available.

Are there signposts along the route?
New wayfinding signage has been installed to help visitors navigate and enjoy the walks with ease.

Are group or guided walks permitted?
Casual groups are welcome to enjoy the walks. For organised or larger guided events, please contact the Bradford Estates office in advance.

How are the walks maintained?
The routes are maintained by Bradford Estates, ensuring the woodland and paths are carefully cared for and preserved for future generations.
