WALKERS CAN NOW EXPLORE A ONCE-PRIVATE AREA OF SHROPSHIRE AND SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE.
Opened Autumn 2025, The Bradford Walk invites you to enjoy 15 km of newly created permissive public paths, seamlessly connected with existing rights of way to enhance access across the Estate.
Follow routes that trace historic pleasure grounds and carriageways, taking in an abundance of wildlife, sweeping views of the countryside, Capability Brown landscapes, tranquil wetlands, and nearby heritage attractions including Weston Park, Boscobel House, and The Royal Oak on Monarch’s Way (please note: separate admission charges apply at these sites).
OPEN TO
EVERYONE
The trail grants permissive public access to hundreds of acres of previously private woodlands for the community.
195,000
NEW TREES
Over 195,000 UK grown trees have been planted with eco-friendly tree guards, enhancing wildlife habitats, connecting communities with nature, and significantly increasing woodland cover over the next decade.
WORKING TOWARDS
NET ZERO
The woodland planting is supported by the England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO), administered by the Forestry Commission, supporting Bradford Estates’ aim to increase woodland cover and contribute towards the UK’s net zero targets.
CONNECTING
HISTORIC SITES
Creating a cohesive network that links pleasure grounds, carriageways and local heritage sites such as Weston Park, Boscobel House and Tong village.
ICONIC
LANDSCAPES
Granting public access to the estates’ historic designs originally influenced by renowned landscape architect Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in the 18th century.
COMMUNITY
ENGAGEMENT
Future plans for the permissive trails include parking facilities, art installations and possibly a playground, establishing a community facility for events and activities.
