Bradford Estates Boutique Stays, part of the wider Bradford Estates business, offers unique experiential spaces inspired by a desire to open up more of these private estates for the enjoyment of their celebrated heritage, ancient woodland, secluded lakes and verdant walks.

The Hansel & Gretel Cottage has recently been lovingly restored and provides guests with the ultimate sense of luxury as well as the feeling of walking back in time. The team at Bradford Estates are on hand to ensure guests have everything needed to ensure a cosy and comfortable stay for guests in their home away from home.

This is the start of an exciting expansion of the leisure facilities on the Estates, which will in the coming years realise a wedding venue, further exclusive use cottages, holiday cabins, glamping, a new 16 km woodland walk and much more planned.

Hansel & Gretel House

The Hansel & Gretel Cottage is a unique lakeside hideaway nestled in a 200 acre private wood is a truly memorable spot for a romantic getaway, an off-grid escape, or an active weekend of exploring. This secluded and cosy cottage is made up of one large round room with a wood burner, sumptuous leather chairs and a Super King bed with all the necessary essentials, along with a side room including an efficient kitchen and bathroom. Venturing out, the house has its own private pier on the lake, fireplace for the colder evenings and two vintage style bicycles for exploring the beautiful natural surroundings.

Handcrafted with meticulous detail in 1856, Hansel & Gretel Cottage was built as a fishing and shooting lodge for the Earls of Bradford. Since this time, the cottage has long been very much adored by the Earls of Bradford and as such has been lovely kept since the Victorian era.
